The lockdown in the UK hit everyone hard, especially the construction industry. I found myself out of work, looking at other options.
The time in lockdown, gave me time to think and decide about my future.
I had some good times, and made some great friends, working in the construction industry; but now it was time for a new challenge.
It got me thinking about what I was passionate about and what I wanted to do.
One of my happy places was being in Spain when I was young. I could remember every morning, my job was to go to the local churros stall and get piping hot, fresh churros for the breakfast table.
You cannot beat the smell of fresh churros and I would always get back home with a number of bites missing from them and a huge smile on my face.
Over the years, I have also become a secret 'foodie'. My passion for cooking grew and I found myself wanting to explore new flavours, spices and different regional cuisines.
I not only enjoyed eating out, but I would look forward to cooking for myself and I would always get positive comments about my hidden talent.
So, lockdown gave me the push that I needed to bring these two together and start the next chapter of my life.
